    Latest news on SLAPP, short for Strategic Lawsuits Against Public Participation, which is when an individual or organization files a judicial or administrative action against another individual or organization in order to chill or prevent the other person from participating in public discourse. SLAPPs are often used to censor or silence public voices, and are often filed against advocacy organizations and individuals who have exposed or criticized unethical or illegal activities of the SLAPP filer.
